❔What are Wetlands?
Wetlands are simply areas where land is covered by shallow water, or the soil is saturated with water, for a significant part of the year. They are like sponges, soaking up water and supporting unique plants and animals that love wet conditions.
Wetlands are nature’s way of keeping the environment balanced and healthy.🍃
These lush, water-logged ecosystems come in many forms:
✨ Marshes- with tall grasses and reeds.
✨Swamps- with trees and shrubs.
✨Bogs- rich in moss and stores a lot of carbon.

✅Flood Shields: They mitigate flooding by absorbing excess rainfall and prevents flooding.
✅ Wildlife Hubs: They provide essential habitats for a wide array of species, including birds, fish, and amphibians.
✅ Biodiversity Boosters: They support and protect rare and endangered species.
